Modeled and shaded in Maya with Renderman, textured in Substance Painter
I wanted to challenge myself to make a very detailed model, and my new (old?) typewriter was the perfect inspiration. The Smith-Corona Classic 12 typewriter was manufactured in the '60s so I decided to make a '60s era desk and accessories to complement the typewriter. While making this model, it was really useful to have the actual typewriter in front of me so I could take measurements and specific reference photos to make the model as accurate as possible.
